Roadtrip 2016 Fall: Vancouver - Yakima - Bend - John Day River - Port Orford - Florence - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 35 - Secret Estuary, Secret Beach

Birds go by - with Sisters Rocks in the distance.

Where there's a ball, there's a way.

The thrill-a-minute action of Leviball. See? It has a name.

The snake foams try to sneak up on the unsuspecting birds. Problem is - they are highly suspicious.

Signs of a dog having fun.

My empire is completely under control.

Guardian of the estuary.

Unsuccessful once again, the birds jump clear well before the foam can sneak in.

A peaceful day at the estuary - things are not always this placid.

The marks of true friendship.

That landslide is the secret trail to secret beach.

Like a wee fossilized hippo. Hmmm wrong continent - though they can swim.

Secret beach is small, remote and secret.

Everything shelters from the waves. The sea reaches the cliffs every day.

The climb out of secret beach is a challenge for everyone.

A good samaritan has provided a fixed rope - the trail is steep and slippery.

Emma has always hated this kind of bridge.

The trailhead lawn awaits.
